About Us
Since 1945, U-Haul has been serving do-it-yourself movers and their households. Like many other successful ventures, the concept for U-Haul was generated out of need. After World War II, there existed the widespread need for do-it-yourself moving equipment that would be available on a one-way, nationwide basis.
U-Haul co-founders L.S. "Sam" Shoen and his wife, Anna Mary Carty Shoen, recognized that need and acted upon it. Their visionary approach spread the cost of ownership among many users, facilitating the mobility of the populations of the U.S. and Canada. The covered wagon of the pioneers morphed into orange U-Haul trailers. In the process, an industry was born.
U-Haul Holding Company and its family of companies, including U-Haul, have strived to create a culture of health and wellness. As of February 1, 2020, and consistent with applicable law, no U-Haul Holding Company or its family of companies will hire individuals in states where it may lawfully decline to hire individuals who use nicotine products (Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Hawaii, Idaho, Iowa, Kansas, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Nebraska, Pennsylvania, Texas, Utah, Vermont, Virginia and Washington). Customer Service Representative Jobs in Montana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a customer service representative in Montana?
Most customer service representative positions in Montana require a high school diploma or equivalent and no state-issued license. Employers in healthcare settings expect familiarity with HIPAA privacy rules, while those in financial services often prefer candidates with completed coursework in business or accounting. Starting in a receptionist, data entry, or retail associate role at a Montana hospital, credit union, or utility company is the most common entry path leading to a dedicated customer service role.
Which companies hire customer service representatives in Montana?
Companies currently hiring customer service representatives in Montana include U-Haul, State Farm, and Stockman Bank, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Montana's healthcare networks, rural electric cooperatives, and regional banks are among the most consistent sources of full-time customer service openings across the state.
Which Montana cities have the most customer service representative jobs?
Bozeman, Billings, and Kalispell lead Montana in customer service representative openings. Billings anchors the market as the state's largest city, driven by its concentration of regional healthcare systems and financial institutions, while Missoula and Great Falls contribute openings through university-adjacent services, utility providers, and state agency operations that collectively sustain year-round demand.
Are there remote customer service representative jobs in Montana?
Yes, and more than most fields, since customer service representative work is well suited to phone and digital channels that require no physical presence. About 10% of customer service representative openings tied to Montana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how broadly employers have adopted distributed staffing for this role. Billing support, account management, and technical helpdesk positions are the sub-areas most frequently listed as fully remote.
How can I get hired as a customer service representative in Montana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for front-desk, patient registration, or member services associate roles at Montana's larger healthcare networks or credit unions, which regularly hire candidates without prior call center experience and provide on-the-job training. Completing a short customer relations or medical billing certificate through Montana State University or a community college strengthens an application. Retail and hospitality experience at established Montana employers is widely accepted as equivalent preparation for entry-level openings.
