Most data analytics leads in Indiana enter the role after earning a bachelor's degree in data science, statistics, business analytics, or a closely related field, with many employers preferring a master's degree. There is no state-issued license required for this role in Indiana. Candidates typically advance from senior analyst positions by building proficiency in SQL, Python, and BI platforms, then demonstrating project leadership and cross-functional collaboration within Indiana's healthcare, manufacturing, or financial services sectors.
How much do data analytics leads make in Indiana?
Data analytics leads in Indiana earn a median of about $91,470 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $58,750 for the lowest 10% to over $141,250 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics leads in Indiana?
Indiana data analytics lead roles are posted by Amazon, Google, and Salesforce and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Indiana's strong presence of healthcare systems, pharmaceutical companies, and logistics operations means data analytics leads are in demand across a wider range of industries than many comparable Midwest markets.
Which Indiana cities have the most data analytics lead jobs?
Indianapolis, Fort Wayne, and Indiana account for the majority of data analytics lead openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates because it concentrates the state's largest healthcare systems, tech-forward insurers, and corporate headquarters, while Fort Wayne and Bloomington contribute openings tied to regional manufacturers, universities, and growing professional services firms that rely on in-house analytics teams.
Are there remote data analytics lead jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 45% of data analytics lead openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally the work lends itself to distributed environments. The parts of the role most likely to stay remote are reporting, dashboard development, and stakeholder presentations, while on-site expectations are more common when the position involves managing a local team or embedding with a specific business unit.
How can I get hired as a data analytics lead in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into an analyst or business intelligence analyst role first, then building toward a lead position over time. Indiana employers like Eli Lilly, OneAmerica, and Indiana University Health regularly hire entry-level data analysts and offer structured development programs that can accelerate that progression. Building a portfolio of SQL queries, Tableau dashboards, or Python projects and earning a recognized certification such as the Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Power BI credentials helps candidates stand out when applying to junior roles that feed into lead positions.
Where can I find and apply to data analytics lead jobs in Indiana?
You can find and apply to data analytics lead jobs in Indiana on Migrate Mate, which lists current Indiana openings. Search for roles that fit your experience level, industry preference, and location, then apply directly to the ones that match. The listings are updated regularly so you can check back as new openings are posted.
