The standard path starts with a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, computer science, business analytics, or information systems, with many employers in Arkansas preferring or requiring a master's degree for management roles. There is no state-issued license for data analytics managers in Arkansas. Progression typically runs from analyst to senior analyst to manager, with employers in retail, healthcare, and financial services across the state valuing hands-on BI tool experience and team leadership alongside formal credentials.
How much do data analytics managers make in Arkansas?
Data analytics managers in Arkansas earn a median of about $109,390 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $67,090 for the lowest 10% to over $169,110 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire data analytics managers in Arkansas?
Arkansas data analytics manager roles are posted by Walmart, Sam's Club, and Tyson Foods Incorporated and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arkansas's concentration of large retail headquarters and regional health systems means demand is particularly consistent in the Bentonville and Little Rock corridors.
Which Arkansas cities have the most data analytics manager jobs?
Bentonville, Little Rock, and Springdale have the most data analytics manager openings in Arkansas. Little Rock anchors hiring through state government agencies, major health systems, and regional financial institutions, while Bentonville and the broader Northwest Arkansas corridor draws significant demand from Walmart's global headquarters and its large supplier and logistics ecosystem operating nearby.

Yes, and more than most fields, since data analytics management is fundamentally desk and systems-based work. About 50% of data analytics manager openings tied to Arkansas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the role's strong compatibility with distributed teams. Strategic oversight, reporting, and BI development work transfers well to remote arrangements, though roles requiring close coordination with on-site operations teams in retail or logistics tend to favor hybrid schedules.
How can I get hired as a data analytics manager in Arkansas with little or no experience?
The most realistic path is entering as a data analyst or business intelligence analyst at a large Arkansas employer and building toward a management role over two to three years. Walmart, Arkansas Children's Hospital, and Acxiom all operate analytics functions that regularly bring in junior analysts and develop them internally. Building a portfolio of projects in SQL, Tableau, or Power BI strengthens candidacy considerably, and earning a vendor certification such as Microsoft's Power BI certification or Google's Data Analytics certificate helps candidates stand out when competing for a first management opportunity.
