Job Description
As a Senior Applications Developer on the Engineering Tools Development team, you will play a key role in developing our PLM and Digital Engineering applications that support our customers’ mission-critical objectives. This role combines deep technical expertise and cross-functional leadership.

What You’ll Do

• Lead, assist, and collaborate with other application developers, business analysts, system administrators, and others in conceptualizing and developing new software programs and applications as well as maintaining existing applications.
• Collaborate with specialists from a wide variety of expertise including mechanical engineering, material science, optical engineering, and other information technology team members.
• Plan phases of the software development life cycle (SDLC) for a variety of projects.
• Assist in the preparation and documentation of software requirements and specifications.
• Research and document requirements of software users.

• Conduct research on emerging application development best practices, languages, and standards in support of development efforts.
• Partner with business representatives to ensure requirements are well understood and documented to achieve successful delivery.
• Actively work with the software development manager and architecture managers to align to a consistent technology vision and drive application development standards.
• Facilitate peer-programming and design sessions/reviews with team members.
• Participate in code reviews.
• Foster and be a leader of a collaborative and team-oriented environment.
• Ensure development quality is being tracked and improved using techniques like automated testing and peer code review.
• Take the lead on solving and implementing difficult technology challenges and drive our team to successful delivery.
• Consistently write, translate, code, and test software program and applications according to specifications.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Support Units, and the Company.
• Interact appropriately with others to maintain a positive and productive work environment.

**This role is hybrid 3 days a week on site**

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical field and at least 4 or more years of related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Three or more years of experience in application development with C# and .Net.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Web API REST services, and application integrations.
• Strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, algorithms, and common software design patterns.
• Experience utilizing Agile/Scrum Methodologies.
• Experience with source control, code reviews, testing, debugging, and the Software Development Lifecycle.
• Experience with relational databases preferably Microsoft SQL.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, and collaborative skills.
• Familiarity with Unit Testing/Test Driven Development/Behavior Driven Design.
• Experience with Entity Framework or equivalent ORMs.

• Experience with Python
• Experience with PLM and manufacturing applications, including implementation and software development.
• Familiarity with Aras Innovator or other PLM systems.
• Experience with UX design.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated deployments.

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
