Metro United Way Vision and Mission: The vision of Metro United Way is that our regional community will be the most vital, caring community in the nation. Our mission is to improve lives by mobilizing the caring power of our community.
Metro United Way (MUW) is a force for positive change. We work every day to lift our community by mobilizing people and maximizing resources to advance opportunities and equity for all. MUW brings together businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, foundations, and individuals to engage in the kinds of collaboration that changes lives. With this support, we are uniquely positioned to make a significant, lasting impact in our fight for the education, financial independence, and health of every person in the seven-county region we serve.
For more than one hundred years, MUW has united and empowered communities by investing in the full potential of individuals and families to ensure positive, sustainable change. We use data-driven insights to identify our community’s greatest needs and address systemic challenges with a focus on advancing equity and sharing opportunities for all. Together, we fight to improve the disparities that persist in early care and education, economic mobility, home ownership, racial equity, and public policy in Jefferson, Bullitt, Oldham and Shelby counties in Kentucky and Clark, Floyd, and Harrison counties in Indiana.
MUW has undergone a major shift with its impact model, focusing on three distinct pillars: Thriving Kids, Strong Households, and Equitable Community. Building on its core strength of mobilizing the caring power of communities, MUW has re-imagined the civic engagement and impact it can have in the region. However, we continue to unite community partners around critical programs and initiatives tailored to meet the specific needs of each community. These include programs and initiatives in early childhood development, economic empowerment & mobility, policy advocacy to support systemic reform, workforce development, homelessness prevention, mentoring and facilitation of neighborhood networking. In 2020, MUW received a one-time gift of $20 million from activist and philanthropist MacKenzie Scott, which was a testament to its continuous investment in programs and services that combat racial and social injustice.
There is no single solution, and we strongly believe that the key to social change is working together beyond individual efforts to impact widespread progress. That is why our approach is so effective - we are on the ground, leading collective action that drives results at scale.

Tips for Your Director Of Partnerships Job Search
Quantify partnership revenue in your resume
Hiring managers for director of partnerships roles want to see pipeline numbers, not activity. Replace vague descriptions with specific outcomes: partner-sourced ARR generated, number of signed agreements, or ecosystem growth you drove over a defined period.
Tailor your resume to the partnership model
Channel, reseller, technology, and strategic alliance partnerships require different skills. Read each job posting carefully and mirror its language. A resume optimized for channel sales won't land as well for an alliances role focused on co-sell motions with cloud providers.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists director of partnerships openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Target companies in active growth phases
Director of partnerships roles open most often when a company is expanding its go-to-market motion or entering a new vertical. Look for organizations that recently raised funding or announced a new product line, as those signal genuine partnership headcount needs.
Prepare a partner ecosystem framework for interviews
Interviewers at this level expect you to describe how you'd structure a partner program from scratch or audit an existing one. Walk in with a clear framework covering partner tiers, enablement, incentives, and co-marketing so you can respond to scenario questions confidently.
Negotiate scope before you negotiate compensation
Before discussing comp, clarify budget authority, headcount, and cross-functional reporting lines. Director of partnerships roles vary widely in actual influence. A title with no budget and no dedicated team is a different job than one with ownership of a full partner ecosystem.
Director Of Partnerships Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most director of partnershipss?
The companies hiring the most director of partnershipss right now include Ryder System, Bank Of Montreal, and Veeva Systems, with the largest share of openings in California, New York, and Texas, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Technology, healthcare, and financial services companies tend to carry the most consistent demand for this role.
How many director of partnerships jobs are remote?
About 26% of director of partnerships openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting the relationship-driven but often location-flexible nature of the role. Sub-specializations focused on technology alliances and SaaS ecosystems tend to offer the highest share of remote arrangements, while roles tied to regional channel sales more often require a physical presence.
How do you become a director of partnerships?
Most directors of partnerships move up through individual contributor roles in business development, channel sales, or partner management, building a portfolio of signed deals and measurable partner-sourced revenue along the way. Developing cross-functional credibility with sales and product teams, learning co-sell motions, and gaining experience managing partner programs or ecosystems are the steps that typically lead to a director title.
Can I get a director of partnerships job with little experience?
Breaking into a director of partnerships role with limited experience is possible if you can show you've owned a partner relationship end-to-end, even in a smaller company or a lower title. Building a track of closed partner agreements, documenting the revenue or growth impact, and coming in with a clear point of view on how you'd structure a partner program can offset a shorter resume.
What does the director of partnerships interview process look like?
The interview process for a director of partnerships role typically starts with a recruiter screen, followed by conversations with a hiring manager and cross-functional stakeholders such as the head of sales or a product leader. Later rounds often include a case study or presentation where you're asked to outline a partner strategy or evaluate an existing program, finishing with a final conversation with a senior leader or executive.
