Director Of Revenue Jobs in North Carolina: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a director of revenue in North Carolina?
North Carolina does not require a state-issued license specifically for director of revenue roles. Most hiring paths begin with a bachelor's degree in business, hospitality, finance, or a related discipline, followed by progressive experience in revenue analysis, pricing, or operations. North Carolina employers in hospitality and healthcare typically promote from within revenue management or cycle analyst roles, and candidates with credentials such as the Certified Revenue Management Executive designation consistently stand out in the local market.
Which companies hire director of revenues in North Carolina?
Employers hiring director of revenues in North Carolina right now include Certus, Avidxchange, and UNC Charlotte, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. North Carolina's mix of major hotel management groups, large health systems, and fast-growing technology companies in the Research Triangle means demand comes from a broad range of industries rather than a single dominant sector.
Which North Carolina cities have the most director of revenue jobs?
Charlotte, Apex, and Raleigh are the cities with the most director of revenue openings in North Carolina. Charlotte drives volume through its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and a large convention and hospitality market, while Raleigh and Durham benefit from the Research Triangle's dense cluster of technology companies, healthcare systems, and research institutions that all require dedicated revenue leadership.
Are there remote director of revenue jobs in North Carolina?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 100% of director of revenue openings tied to North Carolina are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the highly analytical and system-driven nature of the role. Revenue forecasting, pricing strategy, and reporting functions translate well to remote environments, and North Carolina's technology and SaaS employers in particular tend to offer the greatest flexibility.
How can I get hired as a director of revenue in North Carolina with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is to start as a revenue analyst or revenue cycle specialist at one of North Carolina's large health systems, such as Atrium Health, Novant Health, or UNC Health, all of which run structured development programs for early-career candidates. Hospitality management graduates can enter through front office or reservations coordinator roles at full-service hotels in Charlotte or Raleigh, where internal promotion to revenue manager is a well-established track. Earning a Certified Revenue Management Executive credential early strengthens candidacy significantly.
Where can I find and apply to director of revenue jobs in North Carolina?
