Please review the following job description:
Manage and lead functions within the business unit to include pricing, counterparty relationships, and portfolio management. Additionally, provide oversight of analytics to optimize credit, compliance, and change risk assurance and strategic business transformation. This position will be responsible for special project management teams to design and execute a broad array of business initiatives, including analytics supporting strategic planning, new product initiatives, product placement and pricing, business change efforts, resource/functional investment plans, commercial sales strategies and other special projects, all with the goal of helping the business achieve its financial goals and realize its full potential. This role will involve in collaboration with the Head of Power Sport and Power Equipment Lending for in-depth planning, prioritization, and oversight of the execution of all identified transformational initiatives.
This position requires deep subject matter expertise in scaled B2B2C retail lending platforms which source and balance sheet indirect consumer facilities through manufacturer and dealer channels. These channels are dynamic, highly competitive, digitally evolving and require competency in tech-enabled delivery, automation, risk, and pricing analytics to ensure the LOB remains relevant and best in class product placement with dealer/merchant relationships at point of sale.
Additionally, ensure strong client relationships are maintained consistent with our client intimate business model and the resulting loan and revenue growth targets are achieved consistent with established short-term and long-term plans. This role will act as primary business representative with commercial clients, prospects and key bank partners and leaders to ensure our purpose mission and values are communicated consistently and effectively.
As part of this overall process, work to achieve elevated levels of teammate engagement thereby driving low teammate turnover rates and high teammate productivity.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

- Oversight and Leadership of key business areas: As a member of the Senior Leadership team, lead and oversee all facets of loan funding, business reporting & analytics, including credit risk (policy creation, risk appetite development, communication with 2nd line, etc.); risk analytics (portfolio analytics, pricing analytics, servicing analytics, scoring model analytics, etc.); and change risk to support the achievement of Business Unit financial objectives within the context of the business unit’s stated risk appetite.
- Competitive Market Analysis and Monitoring: Define, develop and implement strategic sales objectives and action plans for addressing competitive market conditions and achieving sales growth. Maintain a strong understanding of external competitive developments and their impact on the business and strategy.
- Loan Sales: Define, develop and implement scalable loan sales platform to be able to serve a diverse set of investors.
- Counterparty Relationship Management: Oversight of investor portfolio performance and serve as the primary point of contact on investor needs from new sales to servicing issues.
- Ensure contractual adherence to all purchasing and servicing commitments to financial counterparties.
- Commercial Business Development: Drive framework to deliver measurable revenue growth from deepening client relationships and credit strategies based on solid analytical evidence to meet profitable growth and asset quality expectations.
- Pricing: Develop analytically based pricing strategies across power sport and power equipment to promote strong risk-adjusted financial results for the businesses. Align pricing with risk and propose ongoing revisions as needed.
- Financial Plan Management and Forecasting: Manage the performance within agreed upon financial plan constraints, objectives, and thresholds as set out in the businesses annual financial plan, including regular review of opportunities to automate certain areas of the business to create improve scale and efficiencies.
- Asset Quality: Evaluate, manage, and report on asset quality of the portfolio; investigate and take corrective action where warranted. Drive operational effectiveness by optimizing manual underwriting and verification processes.
- Vendor management: Expense management through cost effective vendor life-cycle management.
- Business Strategy: Develop and deploy various business strategy adjustments across the operation to ensure ongoing risk are effectively mitigated and returns in the business remain favorable, while ensuring exceptional credit and compliance management is maintained and internal and external credit and compliance review remain favorable. Provide leadership to evaluate internal processes, including but not limited to staffing, marketing, funding, and pricing by leveraging greater levels of automation and fully utilize all available data & analytical capabilities to optimize and drive sustainable portfolio growth and profitability within risk appetite.
- Business Strategy: Coordinate with other Senior Leaders of the business unit as well as key strategic functional partners within Truist (technology, legal, compliance, finance, etc.) to ensure business unit appropriately balances the often-conflicting requirements of technology, digital, risk, legal, and compliance. Ensure execution of key strategic initiatives that drive best in class business processes and products which create a client experience that becomes a competitive advantage.
- Business Strategy: Participate in strategic initiatives across the broader Truist Consumer Lending group to identify and promote best practices, and other new strategic business channels or initiatives to increase Truist’s business capabilities or flexibility to optimize competitive positioning and achieve Truist corporate objectives.
- Promote a cohesive, inclusive, collaborative culture aligned with the Truist purpose, mission, and values to be able to attract, retain, and promote top talent, with a strong focus on diversity, and build a robust slate of credible successors for key leadership positions.
- Manage the businesses significant teammate base to ensure teammate turnover is minimized and teammate engagement is maximized with the objective being extremely high teammate productivity and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

- Master’s degree or equivalent education and related training or experience.
- 15+ years of experience in consumer lending or financial services.
- Experience in Counterparty Flow Sale arrangements and pricing.
- Capital Markets experience.
- Thorough knowledge of lending (consumer and/or wholesale), including credit risk and regulatory requirements.
- Substantial experience managing a large group of teammates.
- Deep industry knowledge.
- Expert level skills related to: Data Analytics, consumer credit, and financial forecasting.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Intense sense of urgency.
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills.
- 5+ years of interacting with regulators and senior management.
- Ability to navigate fast paced complex environments.
- Excellent leadership skills.
- Ability to develop and deploy successful revenue generation strategies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 25 years’ experience in financial services.
- Experience in credit risk role or sales leadership role.
- Graduate of industry banking school(s).
