Consumer Insights Analyst
This position represents the ‘voice of the consumer’ and works closely with a variety of business partners (merchandising, marketing, design, retail, DTC) to use research and consumer insight to inform decisions and drive innovation.
Kontoor Brands is looking for someone who is passionate about the consumer. Who will develop research plans, utilize best-in-class methodologies, and analyze and translate data from a variety of sources into insights to help strengthen marketing communications and influence new products.
Responsibilities:
- Co-manage and/or lead consumer research projects using DIY survey tools and insights community platforms inclusive of planning, executing, reporting, and presenting
- Works in partnership with research agencies to implement a broad range of research studies and helps translate results into clear, compelling insights that will lead to tangible recommendations.
- Champions for the consumer, based on objective consumer insights, during appropriate stages in the product and marketing development process.
- Review and report out on shifts / trends in Harris Poll Syndicated brand health tracking
- Adhoc analysis using syndicated data sources such as NPD and MRI-Simmons
Ideal Candidate and Work Experience:
- Ability to synthesize data from all available sources to help address business issues.
- Experience with managing a range of quantitative and qualitative consumer research such as Brand Health Tracking and Consumer Insights Communities.
- Ability to design, execute, report, and deliver results using DIY Survey Tools such as Qualtrics.
- Project management capabilities, motivated self-starter with ability to prioritize.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively influence decisions through insight.
- Capable presenter, comfortable in front of senior leadership.
- Experience in developing and maintaining good working relationships with cross-functional business partners.
- Comfortable ‘flexing’ based on shifting business priorities.
- Strategic thinking capability - can see the big picture and translate to actionable recommendations.
- Working familiarity with syndicated data sources, preferably NPD and MRI-Simmons.
- 3+ years of work experience in a consumer insights or marketing research role preferred.
- Experience partnering across multiple business functions including merchandising, sales, product development, Ecom, Retail, and marketing.
Education and Additional Skills:
- Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Business, Marketing, Marketing Research, Psychology, or similar/related field.
- Working knowledge of various quantitative and qualitative research techniques.
- Strategic mindset with ability to analyze data and research results and deliver insights and actionable recommendations.
- Solid written and oral communication skills, with an eye for detail.
- Demonstrate strong project management and organizational skills to manage multiple projects independently.
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
