Insights Analyst Jobs in Tennessee: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a insights analyst in Tennessee?
Tennessee does not require a state-issued license to work as an insights analyst. Most employers hire candidates with a bachelor's degree in business analytics, statistics, economics, or marketing. Strengthening your candidacy with certifications such as Google Data Analytics or Microsoft Power BI credentials is common in Tennessee listings. Building a portfolio of data projects or completing an internship with a Nashville or Memphis employer significantly improves hiring outcomes for new entrants.
How much do insights analysts make in Tennessee?
Insights analysts in Tennessee earn a median of about $69,790 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $39,480 for the lowest 10% to over $134,740 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire insights analysts in Tennessee?
Employers hiring insights analysts in Tennessee right now include Jackson, Deloitte, and McKesson, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Tennessee's concentration of large healthcare systems, logistics companies, and regional financial institutions means demand for analysts who can work with industry-specific data is especially consistent.
Which Tennessee cities have the most insights analyst jobs?
Nashville, Memphis, and La Vergne have the most insights analyst openings in Tennessee. Nashville leads because of its dense concentration of healthcare headquarters, corporate retail brands, and financial services firms, while Memphis draws demand from logistics and supply chain operations, and Knoxville sees consistent hiring from energy sector employers and the University of Tennessee health system.
Are there remote insights analyst jobs in Tennessee?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 67% of insights analyst openings tied to Tennessee are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the largely desk-based and digital nature of the role. Research reporting, dashboard development, and survey analysis are the tasks most commonly performed fully remotely, while stakeholder-facing presentation work is most often hybrid.
How can I get hired as a insights analyst in Tennessee with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for junior analyst or data associate roles at Tennessee's large healthcare and retail employers, which regularly bring in new graduates. HCA Healthcare and FedEx both run structured rotational or associate programs suited to candidates without prior industry experience. A Google Data Analytics certificate or a completed Tableau portfolio project gives Tennessee applicants a concrete credential to reference. Adjacent roles in market research coordination or business operations reporting are also common stepping stones.
Where can I find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Tennessee?
You can find and apply to insights analyst jobs in Tennessee on Migrate Mate, which lists current Tennessee openings updated regularly. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and preferred location, and apply directly to each one that fits.
