Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Part-Time Event Lead/Assistant Event Coordinator to join our growing team. As an integral part of our Event Staff, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless experience for guests while providing exceptional service. This role is perfect for individuals with strong leadership and organization skills, a background in the Food Industry, Hospitality and/or Events who are eager to contribute to making memories!
Pay: $16/hour plus percent of Service Charge/Tip for Events
Minimum of 8 hours/week, Maximum of 36 hours/week (Flexible)
Duties
- Assist in the setup and breakdown of event spaces, including arranging tables, chairs, and decorations.
- Provide excellent guest services by greeting attendees and ensuring their needs are met throughout the event.
- Serve food and beverages in accordance with food safety standards and proper handling procedures.
- Support culinary staff with food preparation and presentation during events.
- Maintain cleanliness of the event area, including bussing tables and managing waste disposal.
- Lead and communicate with team members to ensure smooth operations during events, including catering and banquet services.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly to enhance guest relations.
Skills
- Highly organized with proficient knowledge of Excel
- Experience creating BEO's
- Previous experience in hospitality or events is highly desirable.
- Culinary experience or knowledge of food preparation techniques is a plus.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction.
- Familiarity with banquet service protocols and catering operations.
- Ability to handle food safely while adhering to hygiene standards.
- Experience in bussing, serving, or food handling within a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with guests and team members.
*Must provide Food Handlers Permit and Utah Alcohol certificate within 7 days of hire.
