Field Service Representative Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field service representative in Washington?
Most Washington employers require an associate degree or vocational certificate in electronics technology, mechanical engineering technology, or a closely related field from a program accredited by a recognized body such as ABET. Washington does not require a state license specific to the general field service representative role, but positions in medical devices or biomedical equipment often expect candidates to pursue CBET certification, and roles involving electrical systems may require an electrical trainee registration with the Washington State Department of Labor and Industries.
Which companies hire field service representatives in Washington?
Washington field service representative roles are posted by Eaton, Arjo, and Cincinnati Incorporated and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of November 2026. Washington's strong aerospace manufacturing base and concentration of medical device companies make it one of the more active states for this role across both industrial and healthcare-adjacent sectors.
Which Washington cities have the most field service representative jobs?
Kent, Seattle, and Tukwila account for the largest share of field service representative openings in Washington. Seattle and Bellevue dominate due to the region's concentration of aerospace suppliers, medical device manufacturers, and enterprise technology firms, while Spokane draws openings from healthcare systems and industrial equipment distributors serving eastern Washington and the Inland Northwest.
Are there remote field service representative jobs in Washington?
Yes, but they're rare. Field service work is inherently on-site, since the role centers on installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment at customer locations. About 100% of field service representative openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of November 2026, and those positions tend to involve technical support coordination, remote diagnostics, or account management duties rather than hands-on equipment servicing.
How can I get hired as a field service representative in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing an electronics or mechanical technology program at a Washington community college such as Bellingham Technical College or Renton Technical College, which have established pipelines into local manufacturing and device firms. Large Washington employers including Boeing and Stryker run associate-level technician programs that accept recent graduates, and starting as a field service technician or customer support technician at an industrial distributor is a common lateral move. Earning a CompTIA A+ or CBET certification significantly strengthens applications for entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to field service representative jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to field service representative jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to the state. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
