Sales Professional Jobs in Washington: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales professional in Washington?
Washington does not require a state-issued license specifically to work as a sales professional in most industries, though real estate sales professionals must hold an active Washington State real estate broker license issued by the Washington State Department of Licensing. For all other sales roles, employers typically look for a bachelor's degree in business or a related field, relevant industry knowledge, and demonstrated selling experience gained through internships, inside sales positions, or adjacent customer-facing roles.
Which companies hire sales professionals in Washington?
Companies currently hiring sales professionals in Washington include Cairn Partners, Service Corporation International, and La-Z-Boy, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Washington's concentration of major technology headquarters and aerospace firms means many of the most active employers are seeking sales professionals with experience in software, cloud services, or technical products.
Which Washington cities have the most sales professional jobs?
Redmond, Spokane, and Vancouver have the most sales professional openings in Washington. Seattle drives the largest share of listings because of its dense concentration of technology companies, healthcare systems, and professional services firms, while Bellevue's Eastside tech campus ecosystem and Spokane's growing healthcare and regional distribution sectors produce consistent demand outside the primary metro.
Are there remote sales professional jobs in Washington?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 60% of sales professional openings tied to Washington are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how many Washington technology and SaaS companies operate distributed sales teams. The roles most likely to be fully remote are inside sales, SDR, and software account executive positions, while field sales and medical device roles typically require in-person client coverage.
How can I get hired as a sales professional in Washington with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through an inside sales representative or sales development representative role, which Washington's technology companies hire for directly from new graduates and career changers. Amazon, Microsoft, and Stryker's Pacific Northwest division all run structured onboarding and associate sales programs that do not require prior sales experience. Moving laterally from customer success, retail banking, or account coordination roles at Washington-based firms is also a recognized path, and completing a Salesforce certification gives candidates a concrete, employer-recognized credential that offsets a thin sales resume.
Where can I find and apply to sales professional jobs in Washington?
You can find and apply to sales professional jobs in Washington on Migrate Mate, which lists current Washington openings across industries and experience levels. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to the employers posting them.
