Finance Manager Jobs in Los Angeles: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a finance manager job in Los Angeles?
Focus on the sectors that drive the most local hiring: entertainment and media companies centered in Burbank and Hollywood, private equity and asset management firms in Century City, and healthcare systems concentrated across the metro. Candidates who combine financial modeling depth with experience in one of these verticals stand out. Networking through local CFO roundtables and industry events in downtown Los Angeles also opens doors that cold applications rarely do.
Which companies hire finance managers in Los Angeles?
Employers hiring finance managers in Los Angeles right now include Fox Corporation, Netflix, and Deloitte, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles draws a wide range of employer types, from major entertainment studios and health systems to real estate investment firms and consumer brands headquartered in the region.
Are there remote finance manager jobs in Los Angeles?
Yes, though it depends on the role: analytical and FP&A-focused positions tend to offer more flexibility, while roles tied to treasury operations or in-person leadership typically require on-site presence. About 25% of finance manager openings tied to Los Angeles are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, with hybrid arrangements most common among mid-size firms in the Westside and South Bay submarkets.
How can I get a finance manager job in Los Angeles with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Los Angeles is moving up from a senior financial analyst or accounting lead role within the same company. Mid-size entertainment production companies, regional healthcare groups, and the growing fintech sector in Culver City and Playa Vista tend to hire finance managers from internal pipelines. Building visibility through CPA credentialing, an MBA from a local institution like UCLA Anderson, and demonstrated experience owning a budget or forecast process gives candidates a concrete edge.
Which industries hire the most finance managers in Los Angeles?
Most finance manager openings in Los Angeles sit in Technology & Software, Banking & Financial Services, and Investment & Asset Management, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Los Angeles's concentration of entertainment studios, large health systems, and commercial real estate platforms creates unusually consistent demand for finance managers who understand industry-specific revenue models and compliance requirements.
