A FINANCIAL ADVISOR empowers clients in achieving their financial goals through expert guidance and personalized strategies. In this role, you will analyze clients’ financial situations, develop comprehensive financial plans, and recommend suitable investment and wealth management solutions. Your energetic approach will inspire confidence and motivate clients to take proactive steps toward securing their financial futures. Position Summary
As a Financial Advisor, you will build and maintain client relationships, help clients clarify and pursue their financial goals, and deliver tailored plans using Northwestern Mutual’s products and planning resources. This is an entrepreneurial, client-facing role with significant training and advancement opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prospect, cultivate, and grow a personal client base through referral, networking, community engagement, and strategic outreach
- Conduct client meetings to assess goals and develop comprehensive financial plans (protection, investment, retirement, college planning, business planning, etc.)
- Present customized solutions and follow through on implementation with exceptional client service
- Coordinate with Northwestern Mutual resources and internal teams to deliver seamless service and holistic planning
- Maintain accurate records in CRM and ensure compliance with firm and regulatory requirements
- Pursue professional development, licensing, and certifications as supported by the firm
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Motivated, entrepreneurial professional with a client-service mindset
- 1+ years of client-facing experience preferred (sales, financial services, insurance, or related roles)
- Strong interpersonal, presentation, and communication skills
- Goal-oriented with a proven ability to build relationships and drive results
- Comfortable working in office during business hours and attending occasional after-hours or weekend events
- Willingness and ability to obtain state insurance license(s) and FINRA registrations as required (Northwestern Mutual provides licensing support and training)
- Valid driver’s license
