Financial Reporting Analyst Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial reporting analyst in Arizona?
The standard path in Arizona starts with a bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, followed by gaining experience in general ledger accounting or audit. While no state license is required to hold the title, most Arizona employers expect CPA licensure or active pursuit of it through the Arizona State Board of Accountancy, which administers the Uniform CPA Examination. Candidates who complete the CPA exam and accumulate qualifying experience under a licensed CPA become competitive for mid-level and senior reporting roles.
How much do financial reporting analysts make in Arizona?
Financial reporting analysts in Arizona earn a median of about $79,970 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $55,430 for the lowest 10% to over $128,890 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire financial reporting analysts in Arizona?
Employers hiring financial reporting analysts in Arizona right now include Arevon, Komatsu, and CIM, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's mix of publicly traded corporations, major health systems, and financial services firms headquartered in the Phoenix metro generates steady and diverse demand for this role.
Which Arizona cities have the most financial reporting analyst jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Arizona account for the most financial reporting analyst openings in Arizona. Phoenix anchors the market as home to the majority of the state's corporate headquarters, public companies, and regional shared-service centers, while Scottsdale and Tempe attract financial services, real estate, and technology firms that maintain dedicated accounting and reporting teams.
Are there remote financial reporting analyst jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 29% of financial reporting analyst openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and software-driven nature of the work. The tasks most commonly offered remotely are external reporting, consolidations, and close-cycle analysis, while roles requiring hands-on ERP administration or cross-functional collaboration tend to require at least partial on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a financial reporting analyst in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a staff or junior accountant role at one of Arizona's large audit firms or corporate accounting departments, where foundational close and reconciliation work directly prepares you for reporting responsibilities. Banner Health, Intel's Chandler operations, and major Phoenix-area public accounting firms regularly hire new graduates into rotational or staff accounting programs. Building Excel and Workiva skills, passing at least one section of the CPA exam, and moving laterally from accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger roles are the transitions Arizona hiring managers recognize most.
Where can I find and apply to financial reporting analyst jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to financial reporting analyst jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers actively hiring in the state. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly.
