Financial Services Representative Jobs in Delaware: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a financial services representative in Delaware?
To become a financial services representative in Delaware, you need to pass FINRA licensing exams, most commonly the Series 6 or Series 7, and register with a FINRA-member broker-dealer operating in the state. Delaware does not have a separate state securities licensing exam, but representatives selling insurance products must also obtain a Delaware Department of Insurance license. Most employers require at minimum a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or economics before sponsoring your licensing exams.
Which companies hire financial services representatives in Delaware?
Companies currently hiring financial services representatives in Delaware include JPMorganChase, Magellan Health, and Solenis, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Delaware's deep concentration of corporate headquarters, major banks, and financial holding companies makes it one of the more consistently active hiring markets for licensed financial services professionals on the East Coast.
Which Delaware cities have the most financial services representative jobs?
Wilmington, Newark, and New Castle account for the largest share of financial services representative openings in Delaware. Wilmington drives the bulk of demand as the state's primary financial and corporate center, home to major bank operations and credit card companies, while Newark and Dover support additional hiring through regional bank branches, credit unions, and insurance offices serving surrounding communities.
Are there remote financial services representative jobs in Delaware?
Yes, but they're less common than in purely analytical financial roles because the position typically involves in-person client relationship management and compliance oversight. About 33% of financial services representative openings tied to Delaware are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which reflects the client-facing nature of the work. Back-office support functions and phone-based financial advising roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility within this field.
How can I get hired as a financial services representative in Delaware with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a bank teller, customer service representative, or personal banker role at one of Delaware's large retail banking institutions, which regularly promote from within into licensed financial services positions. JPMorgan Chase, M&T Bank, and local credit unions such as Delaware State Police Federal Credit Union run structured associate programs and pay for FINRA exam preparation. Earning a Series 6 license before applying, even if self-funded, gives candidates a measurable edge over unlicensed applicants.
Where can I find and apply to financial services representative jobs in Delaware?
You can find and apply to financial services representative jobs in Delaware on Migrate Mate, which lists current Delaware openings updated in real time. Search the available roles, identify the ones that match your experience and licensing, and apply directly to the employers posting them. No signup is required to search or view listings.
