Healthcare Sales Specialist Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a healthcare sales specialist in Colorado?
Most Colorado employers require a bachelor's degree in a life science, business, or health administration field as the foundation for this role. Colorado does not issue a state license specifically for healthcare sales representatives, but manufacturers' representatives selling medical devices or pharmaceutical products must comply with applicable federal FDA regulations and any facility credentialing requirements set by Colorado hospital systems. Completing a formal sales training program and building clinical product knowledge in a target specialty, such as orthopedics or diagnostics, significantly strengthens candidacy.
Which companies hire healthcare sales specialists in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring healthcare sales specialists in Colorado include CBRE, Optum, and Auxillium, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of major hospital networks, health technology firms, and medical device distributors based in the Denver and Boulder corridors makes it one of the more active markets for ongoing commercial healthcare hiring.
Which Colorado cities have the most healthcare sales specialist jobs?
Pueblo, Longmont, and Englewood account for the largest share of healthcare sales specialist openings in Colorado. Denver drives the bulk of postings given its density of health system headquarters, biotech firms, and specialty pharma distributors, while Colorado Springs and Boulder attract openings tied to regional hospital groups and medical technology companies with operations along the Front Range.
Are there remote healthcare sales specialist jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they're less common, since most healthcare sales specialist roles require in-person visits to clinics, hospitals, and surgical centers to demonstrate products and build relationships. About 100% of healthcare sales specialist openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting a market where flexibility exists mainly for administrative, inside sales, or account management functions that do not require hands-on product demonstration.
How can I get hired as a healthcare sales specialist in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development or territory associate role at a Colorado-based medical device distributor or specialty pharma company, where structured onboarding replaces prior sales experience. Large Colorado employers such as DaVita and UCHealth's commercial divisions run associate or rotational programs designed for candidates without a direct sales background. Lateral moves from clinical roles like medical assistant, surgical technologist, or pharmacy technician are recognized pathways, and completing a Certified Medical Sales Representative credential gives candidates without field experience a competitive edge when applying.
Where can I find and apply to healthcare sales specialist jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to healthcare sales specialist jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings in this role. Search the listings to identify roles that match your experience level, specialty area, and preferred location within Colorado, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
