Insurance Jobs in Miami: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an insurance job in Miami?
The strongest entry point in Miami is targeting employers in Brickell's financial corridor, Coral Gables' regional headquarters, and the growing healthcare networks in Doral and Aventura. Candidates with experience in commercial lines, surety, or international risk stand out because Miami's economy skews heavily toward global trade and Latin American business. Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is a genuine advantage with many local employers and brokerages.
Which companies hire insurance professionals in Miami?
Companies currently hiring insurances in Miami include AutoNation, UniVista Insurance, and Freeway Insurance Services America, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Miami's insurance market includes a mix of global carriers, regional brokerages, and specialty firms that serve the high-concentration of international businesses and maritime interests based in South Florida.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Miami?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role. Desk-based positions in underwriting, claims analysis, and actuarial work are the most remote-compatible, while client-facing and field roles typically require in-office or on-site presence. About 41% of insurance openings tied to Miami are remote or hybrid as of September 2026. Analytical and back-office insurance functions based in Brickell and Coral Gables firms tend to offer the most flexible arrangements.
How can I get an insurance job in Miami with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Miami is pursuing a claims adjuster trainee or customer service representative role with one of the larger regional carriers or national insurers with Miami offices. Independent agencies in Doral, Hialeah, and Little Havana frequently hire bilingual entry-level account associates. Holding a Florida 2-20 or 4-40 license before applying gives candidates a concrete advantage over unlicensed applicants, even at the trainee level.
Which industries hire the most insurance professionals in Miami?
The sectors hiring the most insurances in Miami are Insurance, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Miami's position as a gateway for Latin American commerce, its large healthcare system, and its active real estate and construction markets create sustained, multi-sector demand for insurance professionals across property, liability, and specialty lines.
