Insurance Jobs in Orlando: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an insurance job in Orlando?
Target employers in Orlando's healthcare, hospitality, and commercial real estate sectors, which drive steady demand for underwriters, claims adjusters, and account managers. Concentrate your search on the Sand Lake Road corridor, downtown's central business district, and the tourist-corridor offices along International Drive. Candidates with Florida property and casualty experience or a background in high-volume claims stand out in this market, where hospitality-related liability and health plan administration are especially active.
Which companies hire insurance professionals in Orlando?
Orlando insurance roles are posted by AMBA, Aflac, and Jobot and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. The local market mixes large national carriers with regional agencies, third-party administrators, and the in-house risk and benefits teams of Orlando's major hospitality and healthcare employers.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Orlando?
Yes, though availability depends heavily on the role, since claims field work and in-person agent positions remain largely on-site while underwriting, policy analysis, and customer service roles transfer well to remote formats. About 67% of insurance openings tied to Orlando are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting a broad mix. Desk-based roles in commercial underwriting and benefits administration are the most likely to offer flexible arrangements with Orlando-based employers.
How can I get an insurance job in Orlando with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Orlando is through a customer service or claims support role at one of the city's large third-party administrators or regional carriers, many of which hire and train without prior industry experience. Hospitality-sector employers with large in-house benefits teams also bring on entry-level benefits coordinators. Obtaining a Florida 2-20 or 4-40 license before applying signals commitment and removes a common hiring barrier, giving early-career candidates a clear edge over unlicensed applicants.
Which industries hire the most insurance professionals in Orlando?
The sectors hiring the most insurance professionals in Orlando are Staffing & Recruiting, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Orlando's tourism-driven economy generates outsized demand for liability, hospitality, and group health coverage, making local employers in those sectors consistent sources of insurance hiring throughout the year.
