Personal Banker Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a personal banker in Florida?
Most Florida personal banker roles require a bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field, along with FINRA registration, typically the Series 6 or Series 7 license, which is obtained through FINRA's licensing exams and sponsored by an employer. Florida does not impose a separate state banking license for personal bankers, but employers initiate the FINRA registration process after hire. Starting as a teller or customer service representative at a Florida retail branch is the most common path into the role.
Which companies hire personal bankers in Florida?
Companies currently hiring personal bankers in Florida include Wells Fargo, Fifth Third Bank, and PNC Financial Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Florida's large retiree population and high concentration of small businesses make it a consistently active market for bank hiring across both national chains and regional community banks.
Which Florida cities have the most personal banker jobs?
The Florida cities with the most personal banker openings are Miami, Naples, and Hollywood. Miami's international finance sector and large Spanish-speaking population drive strong demand there, while Tampa and Orlando generate steady openings through their growing corporate corridors and rapidly expanding suburban communities that attract retail banking branches and wealth management offices.
Are there remote personal banker jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Personal banking is fundamentally a relationship- and branch-based role, so most positions require an in-person presence. About 8% of personal banker openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, and those tend to be phone-based or digital banking advisory roles rather than traditional branch positions.
How can I get hired as a personal banker in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a teller or customer service representative role at a Florida retail branch, then transitioning internally. Large Florida employers such as Wells Fargo and Bank of America run structured development programs that move tellers into personal banker tracks after demonstrating sales aptitude. Earning a FINRA Series 6 license before or during the application process gives candidates a clear edge over other entry-level applicants.
Where can I find and apply to personal banker jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to personal banker jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings updated in real time. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, preferred city, and specialty, then apply directly to whichever positions fit your background.
