FUNCTION
Accountable and responsible for the overall performance and operation of the Finance Department including Accounting, Revenue Audit, Purchasing, Count Room and Gaming Cages.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for planning, communicating and implementing procedures for the overall efficient operation of
- the department.
- Responsible for coordinating the accurate preparation and distribution of the property's budget and
- financial reporting. Monitors and analyzes results of fiscal performance.
- Assists Vice President and General Manager in approval of expenditures for property.
- Responsible for maintaining departmental compliance with generally accepted accounting principles,
- government regulations, and internal controls.
- Member of property executive management staff.
- Reviews staffing levels to maintain budgeted levels of employment. Delegates authority and assigns
- responsibilities.
- Hires, trains, schedules and evaluates departmental staff.
- Reviews financial activities with Vice President and General Manager, Directors and Managers as necessary.
- Responsible for financial reporting to all required Company and external entities.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Management abilities demonstrated in effectively managing Finance operations.
- Maintains interpersonal professional working relationships among all personnel.
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Willingness to assume overall responsibility relative to the performance of Finance and the property.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
- Ten to fifteen years’ experience in accounting as a controller or financial manager or officer with a 4-year
- degree in related field or equivalent work experience. Graduate degree, MBA with finance management preferred.
- CPA or other professional accreditation preferred.
- Casino, hospitality or entertainment experience preferred.
Pay: $150,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year
