Responsibilities
Financial Planning, Forecasting & Operations
- Lead quarterly and annual financial forecasting, budgeting, and Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) processes for the business unit.
- Develop and analyze forecasts for revenue, operating expenses, cash flow, and supply chain activities.
- Partner with business unit leaders to monitor revenue performance, manage costs, and optimize resource allocation.
- Identify financial and operational risks, opportunities, and performance trends, providing actionable recommendations to leadership.
- Prepare financial reports, forecasts, and business performance analyses for executive and corporate leadership.
Accounting Processes & Financial Systems
- Support financial controls, accounting policies, audit requirements, and compliance with corporate standards.
- Partner with Corporate Accounting to ensure accurate, consistent, and timely financial reporting.
- Identify opportunities to automate financial processes and improve reporting efficiency through systems and analytics tools.
- Maintain data integrity and consistency across financial reporting platforms.
Business Partnership & Site Leadership
- Serve as the financial and operational leader for the San Diego site, representing the business unit in corporate reviews and cross-functional initiatives.
- Provide operational oversight and support day-to-day site activities in partnership with functional leaders.
- Collaborate with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, and Accounting to align operational priorities with financial objectives.
- Identify site-level risks, operational challenges, and opportunities for improvement.
- Lead and develop team members while fostering accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Strategic Finance & Business Performance
- Support strategic business initiatives, including growth investments, new business opportunities, and cost optimization.
- Develop financial models and business cases to evaluate investments, operational changes, and strategic decisions.
- Analyze business performance and provide recommendations to improve profitability, efficiency, and long-term growth.
- Partner with executive leadership to evaluate financial and operational tradeoffs and support business unit objectives.
