Insurance Jobs in Wyoming: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a insurance in Wyoming?
To work as a licensed insurance producer in Wyoming, you must pass a state licensing exam and apply through the Wyoming Department of Insurance. The process requires completing pre-licensing education in your chosen line of authority, such as property and casualty or life and health, passing the Pearson VUE administered exam, and submitting a license application. A background check is required, and licenses must be renewed on a biennial basis.
Which companies hire insurances in Wyoming?
Employers hiring insurances in Wyoming right now include Canyon Creek Financial, Navsav, and CVS Health, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Wyoming's energy and agricultural economy also means regional carriers and independent agencies focused on commercial and farm coverage are consistent sources of local insurance hiring.
Which Wyoming cities have the most insurance jobs?
Cheyenne, Casper, and Wyoming account for the largest share of insurance openings in Wyoming. Cheyenne draws the most listings as the state capital and largest city, where regional carriers and state government-affiliated benefits programs are headquartered, while Casper's role as the center of Wyoming's oil and gas industry supports steady demand for commercial lines and risk management professionals.
Are there remote insurance jobs in Wyoming?
Yes, and more than many fields, since much of insurance work involves documentation, client communication, and policy review that can be done off-site. About 60% of insurance openings tied to Wyoming are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting national carrier flexibility. Claims adjusters handling complex losses and agents building new client relationships are most often required to work on-site or in the field.
How can I get hired as a insurance in Wyoming with little or no experience?
