Investment Jobs in Indiana: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become an investment professional in Indiana?
Most investment roles in Indiana require at minimum a bachelor's degree in finance, economics, or accounting, followed by registration with FINRA and obtaining licenses such as the Series 7 or Series 66 through the Indiana Securities Division. Many employers also require or strongly prefer the CFA designation. Entry-level candidates typically start in analyst or associate roles and build toward portfolio management through on-the-job experience and continuing education.
Which companies hire investment professionals in Indiana?
Employers hiring investments in Indiana right now include Wealthbridge Financial, Zimmer Biomet, and Everence Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Indiana's concentration of insurance carriers, regional banks, and growing corporate headquarters in the Indianapolis metro makes it one of the more active markets for investment talent in the Midwest.
Which Indiana cities have the most investment jobs?
Indianapolis, Goshen, and Fort Wayne account for the largest share of investment openings in Indiana. Indianapolis dominates due to its dense cluster of financial services firms, insurance companies, and corporate treasury functions, while Carmel and Fort Wayne contribute through regional wealth management offices and community bank headquarters that serve those metro areas.
Are there remote investment jobs in Indiana?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 87% of investment openings tied to Indiana are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the analytical and desk-based nature of much of the work. Research, financial modeling, and portfolio reporting roles are most likely to offer remote flexibility, while client-facing wealth management positions typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as an investment professional in Indiana with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for junior analyst or financial analyst associate roles at Indiana-based insurance companies, regional banks, or corporate finance departments that run structured rotational programs for new graduates. Firms like OneAmerica Financial and Indiana Farm Bureau have historically hired entry-level finance candidates into analyst tracks. Completing the first CFA level or earning a financial modeling certificate gives candidates a measurable edge over others without prior experience.
Where can I find and apply to investment jobs in Indiana?
