Must be a Veteran, Dependent, or Spouse of a Veteran
Responsibilities & Duties for Job Coach Veterans Suicide Prevention Grant
The objective of this position is to provide support to Veterans by connecting them with services that foster job search skills, resume writing, and interview skills with the aim of maximizing workforce preparedness, income, and thereby increasing financial stability and overall well-being. This position will also assist Veterans in obtaining VA benefits such as vocational, employment and training services, and educational assistance. Provide outreach services to ensure that eligible individuals, including those who are at highest risk of suicide or who are not receiving health care or other services furnished by VA, and their families are identified, engaged, and provided suicide prevention services. This position must exercise sound judgment, demonstrate initiative, have exceptional organizational skills, proficient verbal and written communication, and maintain a high degree of confidentiality.
Salary range depends on qualifications, experience, budget, and internal equity.
Qualifications and Skills for Job Coach
Must be a Veteran, Dependent, or Spouse of a Veteran
- Currently possess, or can acquire, base access
- Hold a valid driver’s license with an acceptable DMV record
- Certified peer specialist within months of hire
- Experience in using various computer software applications and/or Electronic Health Record (Preferred)
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
