Medical Laboratory Technician
Location: Lake Geneva, Wisconsin
Pay Rate: $56/hr
Contract: 13 weeks
Schedule: Day Shift, 40 hours per week
Experience: Experience preferred; Hematology and Blood Bank experience required
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician or Medical Laboratory Scientist for a 13-week day-shift contract opportunity in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. This role supports laboratory testing and specimen processing in a hospital setting and requires strong generalist lab skills, high-complexity testing qualifications, quality control knowledge, and experience in hematology and blood bank.
Responsibilities
- Collect and process patient specimens for laboratory testing
- Perform lab testing in hematology, urinalysis, chemistry, blood bank, or microbiology
- Analyze test results for accuracy before releasing results to patient charts
- Report and document critical results, quality control, and proficiency testing activities
- Maintain laboratory equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support training of new staff or students
Requirements
MLT/MLS Generalist Certification Or Specialty Certification Required
Hematology And Blood Bank Experience Required
Must qualify to perform high-complexity testing under CLIA standards
Education verification required
EPIC experience preferred; must be available for day shift and holiday coverage
