Purpose and Scope:
The purpose of the Manager of Organizational Quality role is to ensure that all children in the Charter school sector have an excellent education. The Manager, Organizational Quality on our Charter schools’ team is responsible for executing a strategic approach to performance management that ensures both operational and academic excellence in our charter schools’ sector and is responsible for the coaching/development of a team of people who manage academic, operational, and systems accountability. The Manager of Organizational Quality serves as a key advisor to the Director of Charter Schools.
Essential Job Functions:
- Collaborates with school leaders, charter authorizers, and key resource partners to design, champion, and implement strategic initiatives that strengthen the foundation for sustaining and advancing charter school quality.
- Leads and manages key projects with the team, including the Charter School Annual Report, Operations Scorecard, and Cumulative Scorecard development and distribution, while overseeing grievance processes and coordinating additional support as needed.
- Directs the planning and execution of the Annual Site Visit process for all charter schools, driving quality assurance and organizational effectiveness.
- Oversee and serves as the subject-matter expert for priority schools and grant initiatives, leading and managing the team to ensure effective planning and execution of priority school strategies, as needed.
- Leads the design and implementation of needs-based professional development, including training and workshops such as monthly Charter Leader Meetings and annual Summer Institute, to strengthen capacity and advance the quality of existing charter schools.
- Supports the development and continuous refinement of district criteria, policies, and procedures to strengthen charter school compliance and accountability systems.
- Manages district support and school relationships, leading strategic meetings to enhance advisor effectiveness and ensure school compliance.
- Support charter schools’ understanding of and adherence to local, state, and federal compliance requirements; serves as a strategic thought partner, delivering high-quality guidance and support to schools to strengthen capacity and drive strong outcomes.
- Serves as the primary expert on charter school quality assurance to drive academic excellence and operational compliance in achievement of school and District charter portfolio goals.
- Perform other duties as assigned or directed.
Minimum Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Educational Leadership, Public Administration, Business Administration, Organizational Leadership, or a closely related field, plus five (5) years related experience in Education and Charter School experience specifically; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience totaling nine (9) years. (PROOF OF EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND/OR EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED).
Degree Equivalency Formula:
Bachelor’s Degree = 4 years plus required years of experience.
Master’s Degree = 6 years plus required years of experience.
