Job Summary
FLIK is seeking a versatile and collaborative Instructional Designer (L&D Specialist) with a focus on writing and developing content for policies and procedures for a 15-month full-time contract engagement. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional who excels in creating clear, compliant documentation and is equally comfortable supporting instructional design and LMS administrative initiatives. This individual will serve as a key member of the team, helping shape policies, training content, and internal communications. Please note - this is a fully remote based role. Working hours to align with EST.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft, review, and update company policies, procedures, training materials, and internal documentation.
- Ensure all content aligns with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into clear policies, learning materials, and job aids.
- Support Learning & Development efforts, including creating guides, training content, eLearnings, and enablement resources.
- Maintain consistency in tone, format, and version control across all documentation.
- Governance and lifecycle management: establish review cycles, ownership, version control, templates, standards, and retirement processes across learning and procedural content.
- Support audits and compliance reviews related to policy and training documentation.
Qualifications
Preferred: Experience in policy writing, technical writing, documentation development, or compliance-related content.- Required: Strong writing, editing, and organizational skills.
- Required: Ability to translate complex information into clear, user-friendly language for both policies and training materials.
- Required: Experience working in corporate or regulated environments.
- Experience in project management, including managing timelines, stakeholders, and deliverables.
- Ability to conduct needs analysis for designing ILT, vILT, digital, and other blended learning solutions in support of SOPs, standards, and compliance with operational requirements.
- Experience with one or more learning authoring tools such as Articulate 360, Lectora, Captivate, etc.
- Experience supporting Learning & Development (L&D) initiatives or creating training content strongly valued.
- Background in document writing, content development, or instructional design is a plus.
Compensation & Terms:
- Full-time hours for 15 months (contract role)
- Compensation equivalent to an annual salary of $75,000, paid on an hourly basis
- Fully remote role — open to candidates based anywhere, with required availability aligned to Eastern Standard Time (EST)
- Potential opportunity to convert to a full-time permanent role with FLIK
- Up to 10% travel if needed
