Key Position Details:
- FTE 1.0 (80 hours per two week pay period)
- 8-hour day shift (Mon–Fri schedule; 8-hour shifts with variable start and end times between 6:00a - 4:00p.)
- No weekends
Job Description:
Responsible for the overall supervision and direction of the Allina Health Emergency Medical Services (AHEMS) Logistics and Fleet Services Parts Departments including overseeing light duty employees assigned temporarily to the department. Trains new and existing employees in all aspects of AHEMS vehicles and equipment, including instruction, and documentation and ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies.
Principle Responsibilities
- Leadership Responsibilities
- Oversees department employees in area of responsibility including hiring and onboarding, training and development and performance management.
- Ensures functions are performed in accordance with department policies and procedures and all governing organizations.
- Creates schedules, tracks hours of work, PTO, training and LOA’s for the workgroup and ensures FTE use is within budget.
- Ensures employees are receiving proper education and tools for success to include rounding and other means of communication to ensure competency and drive employee engagement.

Coordinates work tasks for light duty employees.

Inventory and Recall Management
- Ensures par levels are maintained and adjusted when needed.
- Validates ordering against par levels to ensure budget targets are met.
- Completes spot checks of inventory items across multiple areas of responsibility.
- Coordinates waste pickup, linen and other vendors for bases.

Manages all recalls for the division and ensures products are identified and corrected when needed.

Monitors Productivity
- Reviews and analyzes employee and department productivity and identifies opportunities for improvement.

Facilitates and implements improvement and strategic initiatives.

Projects Management
- Manages projects accepted and completes them within the agreed timeframe.

Facilitates bi-weekly meetings for logistics and fleet staff to ensure work tasks are completed in a timely manner.

Facilities Management
- Ensures garage is in good repair, performs minor repairs and escalates and reports issues as needed to ensure a safe work environment.
- Checks electrical systems to ensure all rigs and equipment are charging and ready for use.

Ensures cleanliness of the work areas and ensures tools for cleaning are present and operating properly.

Equipment Inventory
- Ensures the proper equipment is sent in for proper maintenance on regular service intervals.
- Ensures equipment is in place for duty shifts as well as added shifts for special events.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
- 2+ years in Logistics and Inventory systems or related field role
- 2+ years in a progressive leadership role
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates degree in Business, Health Care or relevant field - Additional leadership experience may be substituted for degree requirement
- High school diploma or GED
Licenses/Certifications
Valid Driver’s License required upon hire - MN and WI residents must obtain a valid driver’s license in their state of residence within 60 days of employment

- Light Work:
- Lifting weight up to 20 lbs. occasionally, up to 10 lbs. frequently
Pay Range
Pay Range: $29.31 to $40.17 per hour
The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
