Marketing Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing professional in Utah?
Most marketing roles in Utah require a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field, and the state does not issue a separate marketing license. Utah employers, particularly in the tech corridor between Salt Lake City and Provo, strongly favor candidates who combine formal education with hands-on digital experience, a portfolio of campaign work, and certifications from platforms like Google or HubSpot that demonstrate practical skills.
Which companies hire marketings in Utah?
Companies currently hiring marketings in Utah include University of Utah, Brex, and 97th Floor, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's high concentration of technology companies, outdoor consumer brands, and financial services firms creates steady, year-round demand for marketing talent across specializations.
Which Utah cities have the most marketing jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Orem are the Utah cities with the most marketing openings. Salt Lake City drives the bulk of postings as the state's commercial and corporate headquarters hub, while Provo and Orem benefit from the dense cluster of software and technology companies along the Wasatch Front that consistently hire for digital and product marketing roles.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 75% of marketing openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting the desk-based and digital nature of most marketing work. Content strategy, SEO, paid media management, and marketing analytics are the sub-areas with the highest share of fully remote positions among Utah-based employers.
How can I get hired as a marketing professional in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Utah is a coordinator or marketing associate role at a technology company along the Wasatch Front, where employers like Adobe, Qualtrics, and mid-size SaaS firms regularly hire candidates fresh out of university. Internships through Utah universities such as the University of Utah or BYU that convert to full-time roles are a common on-ramp, and building a portfolio of real campaign work, even through freelance or nonprofit projects, combined with a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification gives entry-level applicants a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to marketing jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to marketing jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings, identify the roles that fit your background and specialization, and apply directly to the ones that match your experience.
