Marketing Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing professional in Georgia?
Marketing roles in Georgia do not require a state-issued license, so the path runs through education and demonstrated skills. Most Georgia employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business. Building a portfolio of campaigns, earning platform certifications from Google, Meta, or HubSpot, and gaining experience through internships at Atlanta agencies or corporate marketing departments are the steps that consistently move candidates into hired roles.
Which companies hire marketing professionals in Georgia?
Employers hiring marketings in Georgia right now include State of Georgia, UPS, and The Home Depot, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Georgia's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional healthcare systems, and a dense agency community in Atlanta makes it one of the more active marketing hiring markets in the Southeast.
Which Georgia cities have the most marketing jobs?
Atlanta, Alpharetta, and Augusta account for the largest share of marketing openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because it serves as the corporate headquarters base for major national brands and hosts a large agency and media ecosystem, while Savannah and Augusta generate consistent demand through regional healthcare systems, hospitality groups, and growing manufacturing and logistics operations that each maintain dedicated marketing functions.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 68% of marketing openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves digital tools, content creation, and campaign management that travel well outside the office. Roles in SEO, paid media, email marketing, and marketing analytics are the most consistently remote, while event marketing and field marketing positions tend to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a marketing professional in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator role at one of Atlanta's many independent marketing agencies, which regularly hire candidates without years of experience if they bring platform certifications and a basic portfolio. Large Georgia employers like Piedmont Healthcare and Georgia-Pacific run structured new-graduate programs that include marketing rotations. Lateral moves from sales coordinator, communications assistant, or social media roles are also common on-ramps, and earning a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification before applying gives candidates a clear edge.
Where can I find and apply to marketing jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to marketing jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings tied to Georgia employers. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No sign-up is required to see the openings.
