Marketing Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing professional in Texas?
Marketing does not require a state-issued license in Texas, so the path starts with a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, business, or a related field from one of Texas's many universities. Most employers expect candidates to build a portfolio of campaign work, earned certifications in platforms like Google Analytics or HubSpot, and hands-on experience through internships or entry-level roles before moving into mid-level positions.
Which companies hire marketing professionals in Texas?
Texas marketing roles are posted by Willow Bridge Property Company, Sage, and Emerson and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, fast-growing tech firms, and major healthcare systems means marketing hiring is spread across a wide range of industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Texas cities have the most marketing jobs?
Austin, Houston, and Dallas have the most marketing openings in Texas. Dallas-Fort Worth leads because of its dense concentration of corporate headquarters and agency networks, Houston's hiring is driven by energy, healthcare, and logistics companies, and Austin's tech and startup ecosystem generates consistent demand for digital and growth marketing talent.
Are there remote marketing jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 51% of marketing openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work is digital and deliverable from anywhere. Content creation, SEO, email marketing, and paid media management are the specialties most commonly offered on a fully remote basis.
How can I get hired as a marketing professional in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a coordinator or marketing associate role, which large Texas employers like H-E-B, Texas Health Resources, and major Dallas-Fort Worth agencies regularly post for candidates without extensive backgrounds. Building a portfolio through freelance projects, campus work, or volunteer campaigns strengthens applications considerably, and a Google Analytics certification or HubSpot Content Marketing credential gives candidates a concrete edge over others applying at the same level.
Where can I find and apply to marketing jobs in Texas?
You can find and apply to marketing jobs in Texas on Migrate Mate, which lists current Texas openings updated regularly. Search the roles that match your experience and location, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No signup is needed to see the listings.
