Marketing Account Manager Jobs in Texas: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing account manager in Texas?
Marketing account manager roles in Texas do not require a state-issued license or certification. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, advertising, or business, followed by hands-on agency or brand experience. Building a portfolio of campaign results and client work is the practical credential that opens doors in Texas markets. Google Analytics, Meta Blueprint, and HubSpot certifications are widely valued by Texas agencies and corporate marketing teams.
Which companies hire marketing account managers in Texas?
Employers hiring marketing account managers in Texas right now include LocaliQ, USA TODAY, and Sage, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Texas's density of Fortune 500 headquarters, regional agency networks, and fast-growing tech firms means the hiring pool is broad and includes both boutique shops and large in-house teams.
Which Texas cities have the most marketing account manager jobs?
Dallas, Katy, and Austin have the most marketing account manager openings in Texas. Dallas anchors the concentration thanks to its deep base of national ad agencies, financial services brands, and telecom headquarters, while Houston's energy, healthcare, and retail sectors drive steady account management demand, and Austin's technology and startup ecosystem has grown into a significant employer of client-facing marketing talent.
Are there remote marketing account manager jobs in Texas?
Yes, and more than most fields. Marketing account management is a desk-based, communication-driven role that translates well to remote and hybrid arrangements. About 83% of marketing account manager openings tied to Texas are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how broadly agencies and corporate teams have embraced flexible work. Client strategy, reporting, and campaign coordination are the functions most commonly performed remotely.
How can I get hired as a marketing account manager in Texas with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is starting as a marketing coordinator or account coordinator at a Texas agency or corporate marketing department and moving into client-facing responsibilities from there. Large Dallas and Houston agencies regularly bring on junior account staff, and Texas-based companies like AT&T, Dell, and H-E-B run structured marketing associate programs for recent graduates. A portfolio showing campaign work, even from internships or class projects, and certifications like HubSpot Content or Google Analytics give candidates a clear edge over those applying with a degree alone.
