Sales Account Executive Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a sales account executive in Utah?
Most employers in Utah hire sales account executives with a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though candidates who demonstrate strong sales performance sometimes advance without one. Utah does not require a state-issued license to work as a sales account executive. Breaking in typically means starting in a business development representative or inside sales role at one of Utah's technology or financial services companies, then moving up as you close deals and build a book of business.
How much do sales account executives make in Utah?
Sales account executives in Utah earn a median of about $61,980 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $35,770 for the lowest 10% to over $125,390 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire sales account executives in Utah?
Companies currently hiring sales account executives in Utah include Comcast, Verizon, and MarketStar, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Utah's high concentration of technology and SaaS companies, particularly along the Wasatch Front, means demand from both established enterprise names and fast-growing scale-ups is steady throughout the year.
Which Utah cities have the most sales account executive jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Sandy account for the largest share of sales account executive openings in Utah. Salt Lake City draws demand from financial services, healthcare, and enterprise software firms headquartered downtown, while Provo and Lehi benefit from the dense cluster of technology companies in the Silicon Slopes corridor, where SaaS and cloud sales roles are especially plentiful.
Are there remote sales account executive jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. Sales account executive work is largely phone- and video-based, which makes it well suited to remote arrangements. About 69% of sales account executive openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how naturally the role adapts to distributed teams. Enterprise and SaaS-focused roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while roles requiring regular on-site client visits in industries like construction or manufacturing lean toward in-person.
How can I get hired as a sales account executive in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is landing a business development representative or inside sales associate role at one of Utah's technology companies and earning a promotion after demonstrating consistent quota attainment. Many Silicon Slopes employers, including mid-size SaaS firms in Lehi and Draper, run structured sales development programs that move high performers into full account executive seats within one to two years. A Salesforce certification or familiarity with CRM workflows gives candidates a visible edge when competing for those entry openings.
Where can I find and apply to sales account executive jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to sales account executive jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers hiring in the state right now. Search the listings to find roles that match your experience level, industry background, and preferred location or remote arrangement, then apply directly to the ones that fit.
