Marketing Manager Jobs in Arizona: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing manager in Arizona?
Marketing manager is not a state-licensed profession in Arizona, so there is no required exam or registration through a state board. Most Arizona employers expect a bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business, followed by several years of hands-on experience in roles like marketing coordinator or specialist. Earning a recognized certification such as the American Marketing Association's PCM designation can strengthen a candidacy, particularly at larger corporate employers in the Phoenix metro.
How much do marketing managers make in Arizona?
Marketing managers in Arizona earn a median of about $132,220 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $86,010 for the lowest 10% to over $225,150 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire marketing managers in Arizona?
Employers hiring marketing managers in Arizona right now include onsemi, Greystar, and Clarivate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Arizona's concentration of financial services firms, regional healthcare systems, and technology companies headquartered in the Phoenix metro means that demand from large, established employers stays relatively consistent throughout the year.
Which Arizona cities have the most marketing manager jobs?
Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tempe account for the most marketing manager openings in Arizona. Phoenix dominates as the state's corporate hub, home to major financial services, healthcare, and technology employers, while Scottsdale's density of marketing agencies and financial firms drives strong demand there, and Tempe draws openings tied to its large university presence and the mid-market companies clustered around the ASU Research Park.
Are there remote marketing manager jobs in Arizona?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 69% of marketing manager openings tied to Arizona are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work, campaign planning, content oversight, and analytics, translates naturally to distributed arrangements. Strategy-focused and digital-channel roles tend to offer the most remote flexibility, while positions tied to events, retail, or local community marketing are more likely to require a physical presence.
How can I get hired as a marketing manager in Arizona with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a marketing coordinator or specialist role, then advancing internally once you have demonstrated results. Large Arizona employers like Banner Health, Intel, and major Phoenix-area financial institutions regularly hire entry-level marketing staff and promote from within. Building a portfolio through internships, freelance projects, or contract work for local Arizona businesses strengthens a candidacy significantly, as does earning the AMA's Professional Certified Marketer credential, which signals foundational competency to hiring managers without requiring years of experience.
Where can I find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Arizona?
You can find and apply to marketing manager jobs in Arizona on Migrate Mate, which lists current Arizona openings. Find roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the employer through the listing.
