Marketing Support Specialist Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a marketing support specialist in Vermont?
A bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or business is the standard starting point for marketing support specialist roles in Vermont. There is no state-issued license required for this role. Vermont employers, particularly those in healthcare and financial services, value candidates who can demonstrate hands-on experience with CRM tools, digital analytics platforms, and content production alongside their degree, so internships or portfolio work strengthens an application considerably.
Which companies hire marketing support specialists in Vermont?
Vermont marketing support specialist roles are posted by BURTON, LONDONmiddlebury, and Middlebury College and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's anchor industries in healthcare, insurance, and technology mean that large regional institutions tend to maintain the most consistent demand for this role.
Which Vermont cities have the most marketing support specialist jobs?
Burlington, Vermont, and Winooski account for the largest share of marketing support specialist openings in Vermont. Burlington drives the highest volume as the state's commercial and healthcare hub, anchored by employers like the University of Vermont Medical Center and National Life Group, while smaller cities such as Montpelier and South Burlington see steady activity from state government agencies and regional financial and technology firms.
Are there remote marketing support specialist jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 33% of marketing support specialist openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves digital tools, content management systems, and cloud-based analytics rather than on-site tasks. Campaign coordination, email marketing, and social media scheduling are the functions most likely to appear in fully remote postings.
How can I get hired as a marketing support specialist in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an internship or coordinator role at one of Vermont's large healthcare or financial services employers, such as the University of Vermont Health Network or National Life Group, both of which bring on marketing assistants and communications coordinators as stepping stones. Adjacent roles like administrative coordinator, communications assistant, or event support specialist at Vermont nonprofits or state agencies also feed into marketing support careers. Building a portfolio of real projects, earning a Google Analytics or HubSpot certification, and applying to posted internship programs gives candidates without formal experience a competitive edge.
