Business Account Executive Jobs in Vermont: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business account executive in Vermont?
Most business account executive roles in Vermont require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field, though some employers accept equivalent sales experience in place of a degree. Vermont does not require a state-issued license to work in this role. Candidates typically move into the position after building experience in inside sales, account coordination, or customer success roles with Vermont-based employers in technology, financial services, or manufacturing.
How much do business account executives make in Vermont?
Business account executives in Vermont earn a median of about $77,530 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $47,290 for the lowest 10% to over $148,470 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire business account executives in Vermont?
Companies currently hiring business account executives in Vermont include Toast, State of Vermont, and LPI, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Vermont's technology corridor along Route 128 and the Burlington metro area account for a significant share of active B2B sales roles in the state.
Which Vermont cities have the most business account executive jobs?
The cities with the most business account executive openings in Vermont are Burlington, Vermont, and Montpelier. Burlington drives the majority of listings because it hosts the state's largest concentration of technology firms, financial institutions, and regional headquarters, while South Burlington and Williston attract commercial sales roles tied to the retail and light-industrial employers clustered near the Taft Corners corridor.
Are there remote business account executive jobs in Vermont?
Yes, and more than most fields, because account executive work centers on communication, CRM management, and virtual client meetings that translate well to remote settings. About 38% of business account executive openings tied to Vermont are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting broader flexibility in B2B sales. Prospecting, pipeline management, and renewal conversations are the functions most commonly performed remotely, while new-logo or enterprise deals often require in-person visits.
How can I get hired as a business account executive in Vermont with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a sales development representative or inside sales associate role at a Vermont technology or financial services company, where structured ramp programs are common. Employers like GlobalMed and Vermont-based credit unions regularly hire for entry-level account roles with on-the-job training. A completed HubSpot Sales certification or Salesforce certification strengthens an application significantly, and candidates who have managed client relationships in retail, banking, or customer success often transition successfully without a formal sales title on their resume.
Where can I find and apply to business account executive jobs in Vermont?
You can find and apply to business account executive jobs in Vermont on Migrate Mate, which lists current Vermont openings updated regularly. Search for roles that match your experience level, territory preference, and industry focus, then apply directly to the ones that fit. No account creation is required to see the listings.
