JOB DETAILS
We are seeking a project development engineer to serve in a highly visible role, partnering with sales, customers, and subcontractors to develop scopes, budgets, schedules, and technical solutions that deliver exceptional results. The ideal candidate is a strategic/"outside the box" thinker with experience in a customer-facing role.
Responsibilities:
- Developing project scopes, budgets, schedules, and customer proposals
- Collaborating with sales teams to identify opportunities, define solutions, and support project wins
- Creating and evaluating cost estimates for HVAC piping, sheet metal, controls, and mechanical system improvements
- Developing conceptual HVAC system designs and evaluating system alternatives
- Managing project development timelines, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- BS in a related field
- 5-7+ years of HVAC or MEP design experience OR 8+ years of experience at a mechanical contractor
- Strong project development and estimating experience
- Mechanical HVAC layout and systems design
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- P.E. license or CEM certification
- Experience with HVAC control systems
