About us
The National Account Manager will play a critical role in driving Dorel’s success within the must win Baby category at Target. This candidate will lead a cross-functional team and continuously develop the customer relationship to increase brand awareness and deliver exceptional customer service. This role requires the ability to identify growth opportunities, develop and implement plans to achieve the annual sales and profit goals within the Juvenile Channel at Target.
Your mission
This individual will lead our internal teams including Product, Marketing, Site Experience, Forecasting and Operations and will have direct selling & account management responsibilities. Duties will include building cross-functional and customer relationships, influencing at multiple levels and driving performance against P&L.
The ideal candidate is a proactive results-oriented leader, thrives in a fast-paced environment and brings a deep understanding and ability to demonstrate what it takes to be successful working with Target. A strong emphasis on omni-channel growth with a digital first mindset is required. This is a fully remote position ideally located in Minneapolis, MN with some travel required.
Key responsibilities
Leadership
- Develop and achieve plans to maximize omnichannel sales and profitability, meeting or exceeding goals.
- Lead all sales calls, business/line reviews and JBPs.
- Lead forecasting and inventory flow efforts.
- Maintain focus to proactively drive shipments, net sales and market share growth.
- Monitor and implement pricing standards to ensure competitiveness.
Customer Relationship Management
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with Target Merchandising & Inventory teams to deliver optimal WIP and maximize sales.
- Partner with internal team to deliver distribution, pricing and promotional recommendations to Target.
- Bring strong understanding of Target merchandising organization and ordering systems.
- Manage pricing for new items.
- Work with internal teams on behalf of Target to ensure the highest level of customer service.
- Leverage our brands to meet customer and shopper needs.
Business Management & Financial Delivery
- Monitor and analyze weekly customer, market and competitor trends to identify sales opportunities.
- Collaborate regularly with Forecasting & Replenishment team to deliver accurate sales forecasts.
- Provide support to Director for key account meetings to present key initiatives and marketing plans.
- Coordinate sales sample process and needs.
- Gather relevant industry, market and shopper trends to support key initiatives.
- Assist with managing trade budgets to deliver sales and profitable growth.
- Maximize digital presence to improve penetration and earn incremental sales.
- Complete competitive shopping and analysis.
- Coordinate with third party vendors to achieve digital and store growth goals.
Your profile
- BS/BA or University degree in Business or similar field, MBA a plus
- 7+ years direct selling experience and key account management within CPG industry
- Account Management experience with Target and proficient with POL system
- Selling experience across multiple brands and SKU intensive portfolio, Import experience a plus
- Willingness to travel 10-20%
- Ability to influence others through leveraging fact based insights
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver data clearly and concisely
- Exceptional organizational skills and follow through
- Effective time management, planning and prioritizing skills
- Ability to operate independently and bring ideas and solutions to issues raised
- Action and detail oriented with ability to deliver creative solutions
- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint presentation software
