POSITION: NETWORK ADMINISTRATORREPORTS TO: NETWORK SYSTEMS ENGINEER ACCOUNTABILITY OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for assisting the Network Systems Engineer with the day to day management of a large enterprise Microsoft Active Directory environment. The enterprise is comprised of 50 locations with hundreds of switches and servers, servicing 6000+ workstations and thousands of wireless devices. A few of the major services provided include Internet access, email, device management, helpdesk oversight, web applications, VOIP, energy management, and video surveillance. This support role is critical in allowing the district to function optimally and help provide a large number of services to students, faculty, and administrators.

This position bridges systems administration with direct user support, taking ownership of device management across multiple platforms.. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: (to be included along with other responsibilities)1.Must have hands on experience with AD domain creation and replication management2.Must have hands on experience with AD user and computer creation and management. 3.Firm understanding of basic Active Directory roles, such as file and print services. 4.Must have firm understanding of and experience with basic network services such as DHCP and DNS.5.Understanding of basic Group Policy creation and application is necessary.

6.Candidate should be able to navigate Windows logs and troubleshoot common problems. 7.Additionally, the candidate must be able to communicate complex information effectively over the telephone to peers or technical support when solutions are not obvious. 8.Basic Windows Power Shell Scripting is necessary. Advanced Shell Scripting is a plus!

9.Monitor Active Directory replication for 60+ servers10.Provide support for Office 365 Organization level issues.11.Provide support for Google Apps Organization level issues.12.Understanding of Microsoft Hyper-V Host and Guest roles is necessary. Manage Google Workspace for Education/Business, focusing on device management, user provisioning, security policies, and organizational unit configurations.24.

Serve as the primary Mobile Device Management (MDM) administrator for all Apple devices (macOS, iOS, iPadOS), handling zero-touch deployment, patch management, application distribution, and security compliance.25. Oversee the help desk and administer the IncidentIQ ticketing system, ensuring accurate routing, tracking, and timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.26. Any other duties required by the Network Systems Engineer or Director of IT. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Working, hands-on knowledge of desktop OS Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 112.Working, hands-on knowledge of network OS Microsoft Windows Server 2019, 2022, and 20253.Experience creating and editing User Accounts, Profiles and Windows Group Policies4.Proficient understanding of TCP/IP and Ethernet Networking and Routing principals.

5. Ability to troubleshoot network communication issues and suggest appropriate solution.6. Proven experience administering Google Workspace, JAMF, and IT service management tools (IncidentIQ preferred).7. Ability to research software and hardware related issues to resolution8.Excellent people skills9.Good communicator10.Ability to work with all levels of staff11.Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously12.Reliable transportation and valid drivers license 13.Ability to lift at least 50 poundsPREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: 1.Working knowledge of HP/Aruba Procurve hardware.2.Windows PowerShell scripting experience3.Desktop OS imaging management and rollout using Windows Deployment Services or SCCM4.Understand concepts of a SAN and software initiators and as well as MPIO.

TRAVEL: This position is required to travel to district sites within Worcester. A valid drivers license and reliable transportation is required. Mileage is reimbursed upon completion of travel reimbursement forms. WORK YEAR: Full year, 52 weeksWORK DAY: 8:30 A.M.
