Position: Nurse Practitioner - Primary Care (Part-time)
Location: Boscobel, WI
Pay rate: $90 - 100/hr.
Duration: 26 weeks with possible extension
Setting: Primary care - Correctional / Institutional
Start: As soon as credentialing is completed
Schedule:
- 24 hours weekly, part-time
- 3 days within Monday - Friday: 8 am - 04:30 PM
- Weekly set schedule (no rotating days required)
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide primary and preventive care, including assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of acute and chronic conditions.
- Manage an average daily caseload in accordance with facility needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation per facility and state standards.
- Perform minor procedures as applicable (preferred but not required).
- Ensure timely communication and follow-up regarding patient care needs.
Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Wisconsin
- Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in primary care, family practice, Correctional, or a similar setting
- Current BLS certification
- Prior correctional or institutional healthcare experience preferred but not required
- Must be able to pass a background check
