Job Description

The Chef's Hut is seeking an experienced, organized, and results-driven Restaurant Operations Manager to oversee daily restaurant activities and ensure smooth, efficient, and profitable operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, coordinating front-of-house and kitchen operations, maintaining service standards, monitoring business performance, and delivering an excellent customer experience.

This role requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, along with a solid understanding of restaurant management. The Restaurant Operations Manager will work closely with the management and culinary teams to improve operational efficiency, maintain quality standards, and create a positive working environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily restaurant operations and ensure all departments function efficiently.
• Manage front-of-house and back-of-house activities to maintain smooth service.
• Supervise, train, and motivate restaurant employees across different departments.
• Develop staff schedules and coordinate shift coverage according to operational needs.
• Monitor employee performance and provide guidance, feedback, and support.
• Ensure excellent customer service and maintain high hospitality standards.
• Address customer feedback, complaints, and service concerns professionally.
• Monitor food quality, presentation, order accuracy, and service consistency.
• Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food preparation and delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and presentation throughout the restaurant.
• Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and workplace safety requirements.
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate ordering of food, beverages, and supplies.
• Review operating expenses and support effective cost-control measures.
• Monitor sales performance, labor costs, and daily operational reports.
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Establish and maintain operational procedures and service guidelines.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new employees.
• Resolve staffing issues and promote teamwork across departments.
• Conduct routine inspections to ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained.
• Coordinate with suppliers and service providers when necessary.
• Identify operational challenges and implement practical solutions.
• Organize staff meetings and communicate important business updates.
• Support promotional activities, special events, and restaurant initiatives.
• Prepare management reports and communicate operational results to senior leadership.

Qualifications and Skills

• Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar operations leadership role.
• Strong understanding of restaurant front-of-house and kitchen operations.
• Proven ability to supervise, develop, and motivate employees.
• Excellent leadership and team-management skills.
• Strong customer service and conflict-resolution abilities.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
• Experience with inventory management and supplier coordination.
• Understanding of budgeting, sales reporting, and cost control.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Pay: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour
