Outreach Specialist Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a outreach specialist in Colorado?
Most Colorado outreach specialist positions require a bachelor's degree in public health, social work, sociology, or a related field, though some community health roles accept an associate degree paired with direct experience. Colorado does not issue a single state license for outreach specialists, but roles tied to community health frequently prefer or require a Certified Community Health Worker credential, administered through the Colorado Community Health Workers Association. Positions in behavioral health outreach may additionally require registration under the Colorado Department of Regulatory Agencies.
Which companies hire outreach specialists in Colorado?
Employers hiring outreach specialists in Colorado right now include Crunch Fitness, CPCD, and Aftermath, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Colorado's large integrated health systems, federally qualified health centers, and nonprofit housing and education organizations generate the most consistent outreach specialist demand across the state.
Which Colorado cities have the most outreach specialist jobs?
Colorado Springs, Denver, and Colorado lead in outreach specialist openings in Colorado. Denver dominates because it is home to major health systems, county human services departments, and a dense nonprofit sector, while Colorado Springs and Aurora reflect the concentration of Veterans Affairs facilities, community health centers, and school district outreach programs that generate steady hiring outside the capital city.
Are there remote outreach specialist jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they are limited. Outreach specialist work is largely field-based and community-facing, making fully remote positions uncommon compared to desk-oriented roles. About 33% of outreach specialist openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, and those that do offer flexibility tend to involve grant writing, data reporting, or digital health education rather than in-person community engagement.
How can I get hired as a outreach specialist in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying for a community health worker or outreach coordinator assistant role at one of Colorado's federally qualified health centers, such as those in the Denver Metro Community Health Network or Mountain Family Health Centers in the Western Slope region. Volunteering or completing a practicum with Denver Human Services or a Colorado AmeriCorps program builds direct field experience that Colorado employers recognize. Earning the Certified Community Health Worker credential through the Colorado Community Health Workers Association strengthens any application from a candidate without paid experience.
Where can I find and apply to outreach specialist jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to outreach specialist jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from employers across the state. Search the listings, find roles that match your background and preferred location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
