About HighBeam

HighBeam Health Services is a growing behavioral health and substance use treatment provider serving Richmond and Central Virginia.

Our services include:

• ASAM 2.1 Intensive Outpatient (IOP)
• ASAM 2.5 Partial Hospitalization (PHP)
• Mental Health PHP
• MAT/Suboxone

We primarily serve Virginia Medicaid members and plan to pursue ASAM 3.1 residential services within the next 5–6 months, subject to required approvals.

The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Outreach & Business Development Specialist to develop referral partnerships throughout Richmond, Henrico, Chesterfield, and surrounding communities.

This is a community-facing position, not a primarily office-based role.

The ideal candidate already has relationships within the Richmond behavioral health, substance use, recovery, or healthcare community.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain community referral relationships.
• Conduct regular in-person outreach and partner meetings.
• Build relationships with hospitals, CSBs, behavioral health providers, recovery residences, churches, justice/reentry organizations, and community programs.
• Educate partners about HighBeam's continuum of care.
• Develop new referral sources and strengthen existing partnerships.
• Track outreach, referrals, and follow-up activities in HubSpot.
• Represent HighBeam at community meetings and events.

Ideal Candidate

We are particularly interested in candidates with:

• 2+ years of behavioral health/SUD outreach, admissions, provider relations, or business development experience.
• An established professional network in the Richmond/Central Virginia market.
• Experience with SUD, mental health, MAT, IOP/PHP, or residential treatment.
• Familiarity with Virginia Medicaid and Medicaid MCOs.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently in the community.

Experience as a Community Liaison, Outreach Representative, Treatment Placement Specialist, Provider Relations Representative, or Behavioral Health Business Development Representative is especially relevant.

Pay: $18.53 - $25.36 per hour
