Job Summary
We are seeking a General Manager position to oversee daily operations of a busy restaurant in diversity rich Midtown neighborhood. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills proven in LGBTQ operations, extensive food service management experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role involves managing staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards, controlling inventory, and maintaining operational efficiency to provide an outstanding dining experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise restaurant staff, including hiring, training, and evaluating team members to ensure high performance and excellent customer service.
• Oversee daily operations, including shift management, ensuring smooth service during all hours of operation.
• Manage food preparation processes, ensuring compliance with food safety standards and quality control.
• Handle POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
• Control inventory levels, order supplies, and manage food costs to optimize profitability.
• Implement staff training programs focused on food handling, safety procedures, customer service excellence, and operational standards.
• Maintain compliance with health regulations and ensure cleanliness in kitchen and dining areas.
• Develop and execute strategies for improving service efficiency, customer satisfaction, and overall business growth.
• Assist with budgeting, financial planning, and cost control measures to meet organizational goals.
• Foster a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, leadership development, and employee engagement.

Skills

• Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining establishments.
• Strong background in food preparation, culinary techniques, and kitchen management.
• Extensive knowledge of POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
• Experience with inventory control, food safety standards, and food industry regulations.
• Demonstrated leadership skills in supervising teams within hospitality or restaurant settings.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ability to train staff effectively in food handling, safety procedures, and operational standards.
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Background in budgeting, cost control, and financial management within a hospitality environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
