INTRODUCTION
St. Mary's Medical Center is seeking a Patient Account Representative whose duties include registration, scheduling, documentation, coding, charge entry, answering phone, filing, medical records, daily batches, denials, account analysis, and performing other duties as required or assigned.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
High school graduate or equivalent required. Business training, computer training, CPT/ICD training and medical terminology preferred.
Experience:
One (1) to Two (2) years of experience in the medical field with E&M coding preferred. Proficient with Microsoft Office and physician practice management applications.
SKILLS:
- Speed and accuracy in typing
- Good math skills
- Excellent oral and written communications, ability to deal with medical center staff and public
- Ability to perform a variety of duties
