Position Summary
The HR Coordinator is responsible for delivering a consistent and high-quality employee experience across the full employee lifecycle. This role owns day-to-day HR administration, HCM management, employee-facing programs including benefits, onboarding, and engagement initiatives, and administrative support for the company's tiered temp workforce program. Reports directly to the Chief People Officer.
Key Responsibilities
Onboarding & Employee Lifecycle
- Own the full onboarding experience for new hires, ensuring a structured and welcoming introduction to the company
- Process new hire setup including system entry, benefits enrollment, and I-9 documentation
- Coordinate offboarding logistics in partnership with managers and payroll
HRIS Ownership
- Serve as the primary HRIS administrator, maintaining data accuracy and system integrity
- Partner with the CPO on HCM system implementation and serve as a key contributor to buildout and testing
- Generate standard and ad hoc HR reports as needed
- Train employees and managers on self-service HRIS functionality
Benefits Administration
- Administer employee benefits programs including health, dental, vision, life, and ancillary plans
- Serve as the first point of contact for employee benefits questions and issue resolution
- Manage benefits reconciliation and coordinate with vendors on enrollment and claims
- Support benefit plan review and open enrollment processes in partnership with the CPO
- Process death claims and other sensitive benefit transactions with care and accuracy
Leave Administration
- Administer FMLA and other leave programs in coordination with the Director of HR Risk & Compliance
- Maintain accurate leave records and ensure timely employee communication throughout the leave process
Tiered Temp Workforce Administration
- Maintain accurate tenure records for all temp workers in support of the company's tiered workforce program
- Track tier progression milestones and coordinate pay rate changes with payroll when temp workers advance tiers
- Serve as the administrative point of contact for tier-related recordkeeping, ensuring data is current and audit-ready
Employee Engagement & Recognition
- Lead the development and execution of the employee recognition program
- Coordinate HR-led employee events and engagement initiatives, including health fairs and other programming
- Partner with the CPO on engagement strategy and act as a thought partner on culture-building activities
Performance Management Support
- Manage administrative components of the performance review cycle including system setup, deadline tracking, and manager follow-up
- Support the CPO in ensuring review completion across the organization
General HR Operations
- Process purchase orders and handle HR-related procurement as needed
- Coordinate background checks for new hires in partnership with the Recruiter
- Support compliance and audit preparation in partnership with the Director of HR Risk & Compliance
Qualifications
- 2+ years of HR experience in a coordinator capacity
- Experience with HRIS/HCM systems required
- Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple priorities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and genuine enthusiasm for employee-facing work
