Product Manager Jobs in Utah: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a product manager in Utah?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a product manager in Utah. Most roles expect a bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or engineering, and Utah employers along the Wasatch Front and Silicon Slopes corridor place particular weight on hands-on software delivery experience. Certifications such as the Certified Scrum Product Owner or Pragmatic Institute credentials are widely recognized by Utah tech employers as a signal of readiness.
How much do product managers make in Utah?
Product managers in Utah earn a median of about $139,830 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $79,400 for the lowest 10% to over $229,240 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire product managers in Utah?
Companies currently hiring product managers in Utah include Cricut, Speechify, and Zions Bancorporation, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Utah's dense concentration of SaaS and enterprise software companies along the Silicon Slopes corridor means product management roles turn over and expand regularly.
Which Utah cities have the most product manager jobs?
Salt Lake City, Lehi, and Draper hold the most product manager openings in Utah. Salt Lake City anchors the market with its mix of healthcare technology and enterprise software firms, while Provo and Lehi benefit from the Silicon Slopes tech cluster, which is home to dozens of high-growth SaaS companies that maintain large, active product teams.
Are there remote product manager jobs in Utah?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 64% of product manager openings tied to Utah are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how naturally the role fits distributed work. Strategic and discovery-phase work tends to be the most portable, while roles at earlier-stage companies that prioritize in-room collaboration with engineering teams are most likely to require on-site presence.
How can I get hired as a product manager in Utah with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is an associate or junior PM role at one of Utah's mid-size SaaS companies, many of which recruit from local universities including the University of Utah and Brigham Young University. Lateral moves from business analyst, UX researcher, or customer success positions are common because they demonstrate direct exposure to user needs and product decisions. Building a portfolio of case studies or completing a Pragmatic Institute Foundations course gives candidates a measurable edge when competing for entry-level openings.
Where can I find and apply to product manager jobs in Utah?
You can find and apply to product manager jobs in Utah on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state. Search the roles that fit your experience and specialization, then apply directly to the ones that match.
