Purpose of Position
The Competitive & Market Intelligence Analyst, Senior, plays a critical role in expanding NetJets' market intelligence capabilities by serving as the central owner of secondary research, competitive intelligence, and industry monitoring. This role is responsible for systematically gathering, analyzing, and synthesizing data from existing external and internal sources to deliver actionable insights on the private aviation, luxury, travel, and ultra high net worth (UHNW) consumer landscape. The individual will also be responsible for effectively communicating the information and trends with appropriate key stakeholders.
Unlike primary research roles focused on direct customer engagement, this position is dedicated to continuously monitoring market and competitive signals, identifying emerging trends, and translating complex information into clear, compelling insights that inform strategic decision making across Sales, Marketing, and other strategic partners, including the Executive Leadership Team.
Tasks and Responsibilities
Industry & Competitive Intelligence
- Continuously monitor private aviation, luxury, and travel industries for trends, disruptions, and emerging opportunities
- Track competitor strategies, offerings, pricing, partnerships, performance, and market positioning
- Identify regulatory, economic, and consumer driven shifts that may impact NetJets and its owners
- Proactively highlight implications and “what this means for NetJets” to stakeholders
Secondary Research & Data Collection
- Identify, evaluate, and procure high quality secondary research sources, including:
- Industry reports
- Market studies
- Financial filings
- Academic and trade publications
- Subscription based intelligence platforms
- Conduct deep, comprehensive online research across industry, regulatory, financial, and market topics
- Ensure accuracy, relevance, and credibility of all data inputs through rigorous validation
Data Synthesis & Insight Development
- Analyze and synthesize insights across multiple sources to form cohesive, data driven narratives
- Connect insights across industries (aviation, luxury, travel, UHNW) to identify patterns and implications
- Translate complex and fragmented data into clear, actionable insights for non technical audiences
- Develop reports, briefs, presentations, dashboards, and white papers tailored to stakeholder needs
- Partner closely with Market Research, BI&A, Global 5 Senses, and others to integrate customer, operational, and market perspectives
Reporting & Stakeholder Engagement
- Deliver regular intelligence updates to Sales, Marketing, and Executive Leadership
- Present findings in a compelling storytelling format that drives understanding and action
Process Development & Knowledge Management
Design and maintain a system to:
- Regularly ingest data from multiple sources
- Store and organize insights in a searchable, reusable format
- Track trends over time
Build repeatable reporting cadences (e.g., quarterly industry outlooks, competitive updates).
Project & Vendor Management
- Manage multiple research initiatives simultaneously while meeting deadlines
- Prioritize projects based on business impact and stakeholder needs
- Oversee vendor contracts and ensure optimal use of research subscriptions and tools

Bachelor's in Economics or related field

Uses AI thoughtfully and responsibly, with strong emphasis on source credibility, data validation, and human led analysis.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Data Science, Economics, Communications, Library Science or a related field.
Experience in aviation, luxury, travel, financial services, or UHNW consumer research is a strong plus.
