Job Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Eastern Shore is looking for a hard-working, driven individual who is well connected to Eastern Shore communities in Maryland to join our team committed to making a positive difference in the lives of youth facing adversity.
Responsibilities:
- Volunteer recruitment
- Child and volunteer enrollment
- Partnership development
- Community outreach
- Soliciting in-kind support
- Organizing youth events
- Meeting program compliance
- Planning and facilitating activities
- Providing case management oversight
- Coaching
- Coordinating youth events
- Screening and training volunteer mentors
The successful candidate must have very strong oral and written communication skills, relationship building skills, organizational skills, and attention to detail. A background in marketing, public or human relations is a plus.
Required Competencies:
- Highly organized, strategic networker with excellent writing and time management skills
- Experience decision making skills
- Excellent research, communication, and presentation skills
- Creativity, flexibility, and a strong client service ethic
A valid driver's license and current automobile insurance are required. Willingness and ability to use own car for agency business (mileage reimbursement). Must pass child safety checks. Must be able to use internet, fax, phone, computer, Excel, Word, and other office equipment. Salesforce knowledge helpful.
Education and Experience
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Human Services, or related field required, with a minimum of 4 years work experience preferred. Must be available to work evening and some weekend hours as required. We offer a benefit package including medical, dental, and generous paid time off.
