Position Overview
We are seeking a creative, organized, and detail-oriented Project Coordinator / Interior Designer to support our Project Managers with project coordination, interior design, and material selections.
The ideal candidate combines an eye for design with strong organizational and communication skills, helping keep projects on schedule while ensuring design selections and materials align with client preferences, project requirements, and budgets.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination
- Support Project Managers with project schedules, timelines, and task tracking.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers regarding project updates, materials, and deliveries.
- Track project progress, outstanding items, and client approvals.
- Maintain accurate project information and documentation in project management software.
- Identify potential delays or coordination issues and communicate them to Project Managers.
Interior Design & Material Selections
- Assist with design concepts, space planning, color palettes, mood boards, and design presentations.
- Source and coordinate materials and finishes, including flooring, tile, cabinetry, countertops, lighting, paint, and fixtures.
- Prepare material selection sheets, finish schedules, and design specifications.
- Coordinate with clients and Project Managers to finalize design selections and approvals.
- Track material pricing, availability, and lead times to align with project budgets and schedules.
Design & Construction Coordination
- Review design selections and construction plans to ensure details are communicated accurately.
- Coordinate design requirements with Project Managers, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
- Assist with site measurements, design revisions, and material changes as needed.
Qualifications
- Education or training in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience in interior design, project coordination, or residential and commercial construction preferred.
- Knowledge of interior design principles, materials, finishes, and space planning.
- Ability to read basic floor plans and construction drawings.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and follow through independently.
- Collaborative and proactive approach to working with Project Managers, clients, and vendors.
Software & Technology Skills
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Familiarity with JobTread or similar project management software is a plus.
- Experience with ArcSite is a plus.
- Familiarity with interior design software is preferred.
